Updating your SalesForce password for existing import jobs

When your password and/or security token expire, follow this procedure to update those settings

When a user's password in SalesForce is changed, or their SalesForce Security token expires, MetaLocator may loose access to SalesForce.

You may receive an email notice containing a message accordingly as follows:

An error occurred while importing data from SalesForce. Below are details regarding the problem.

Last Request:

Request content hidden, contained password.
INVALID_LOGIN: Invalid username, password, security token; or user locked out.

To provide the updated credentials, follow this procedure.

  1. Login to MetaLocator at https://admin.metalocator.com

  2. Click the "Background Processes" icon in the toolbar.

  3. Find the job that needs updating. It will show "salesforce" in the Type column. Your organization may have multiple SalesForce jobs.

  4. Click the job name to open the job editor

  5. Update the security_token and password as shown below

  6. Click Save in the upper right
