A welcome prompt will be read to the caller introducing the locator search system. For example:
Welcome to the MetaLocator locator IVR solution. To search for your nearest location in the United States, press 1 for Canada, press 2.
After the user selects a search destination, they are prompted to enter their postal code or zip code. Postal codes are collected via voice or DTMF tones where fully numeric. For example:
Enter or say your 5 digit zip code
The system will then read back the search results, including the address, phone number and any custom fields. For example:
The nearest location is MetaLocator Test. The address is 2025 N Summit Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211 and the phone number is 1-800-231-6526.
When the results are read back to the user, the user will then be prompted with options for handling the results. For example:
To have this information repeated, press 1
To hear the next-closest result, press 2
To have an SMS text message of this information sent to your phone, press 3.
Upon pressing 1, the system will simply re-read the information. Upon pressing 2, the system will read out the next-closest result for the same postal code. Upon pressing 3, the system will request explicit consent from the user to receive a text message. It will include information on what to expect, and to block any future communication from this number. For example:
Press 1 or say "yes" to provide your expressed consent to receive a single SMS text message. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile phone service plan. At any time you can get more help by replying HELP to this text, or you can opt out completely by replying STOP.
