Colors of map features such as water, earth and ground cover have been historically set by the pre-defined Map Styles available here:
These fixed styles can verry in naming conventions and color. After selecting a style it can now be customized by updating colors for various map elements.
The names of countries may differ between styles and be localized to the countries native language. For instance, Germany on one map style could be Deutschland on another.
The settings below are only for use with MapTiler GL and MapBox GL Map Vendors only.
The following map elements can be styled using these new settings:
Water Color: The fill color to use for water.
Land Cover Color: The fill color to use for various types of land cover, such as trees, wood and grass. Visible only at higher zoom levels.
Global Land Color: The fill color to use land at low zoom levels.
Land Use Color: The fill color to use for various types of built land utilization, such as buildings, houses and commercial spaces. Visible only at higher zoom levels.
Transportation Color: The fill color to use for roads, highways and various types of transportation infrastructure.
