When a user chooses a category as part of their search options, sometimes it is convenient to provide a button where the user can easily remove that filter from the search. Similarly, presenting a button to remove all filters allows the user to quickly return to an unfiltered search without removing each filter individually.

The animation below shows the Active Category Filters control in action.

These controls have been added to MetaLocator's Interface Builder as available fields in the Search Form.

To add these controls, open your Interface and click Search Form > Add Field, then add Active Categories and optionally Clear Active Categories. Clear Active Categories presents a link to remove all the active categories at once.

Important: These controls only appear when a category has been selected, and so they will not immediately appear in the preview unless a search is performed.
