Duplicating a MetaLocator Account Configuration

This refers to an account having a basic configuration. Contact the help desk if there are add-on features.

1. Export data from current account

Do this for each table. For example if there is a ‘products’ or ‘persons’ table in addition to the default ‘locations’ table, export each. Refer to this article for more information. https://support.metalocator.com/en/articles/1655848-introduction-to-exporting-data

The export will include Category/tag names. If there are icons, descriptions, groups, parents or other settings for categories, these are not included in the data export. They must be updated manually. Take note of any ordering, that too must be updated manually.

2. Export Interface(s) from current account
Include each Interface. The name of the Interface itself isn’t saved so you might wish to make a note of the name itself. Refer to this article for more information. https://support.metalocator.com/en/articles/1656057-importing-and-export-interface-settings

3. Export any customized Language file(s)

The content of a language file is accessed through the Bulk Language Editor. Refer to this article for more information. https://support.metalocator.com/en/articles/3240761-exporting-and-importing-a-language-file

4. Create a new MetaLocator account

5. Import the data
Refer to this article for more information.
https://support.metalocator.com/en/articles/1655854-introduction-to-importing-data
If there are Category adjustments make those after the import as the importing of data includes creating the Category names. Any custom fields that aren't of type 'text' might require adjustments as in the case of territory fields, links, email, etc.

6. Import the Language file(s)
Refer to this article for more information. https://support.metalocator.com/en/articles/3240761-exporting-and-importing-a-language-file

7. Import the Interface(s)
Refer to this article for more information. https://support.metalocator.com/en/articles/1656057-importing-and-export-interface-settings

Adjust the Language file selection under Language & Internationalization Settings > Language Code of each Interface.

8. Establish the account billing and plan information
