Introduction

After a visitor to your locator completes a Lead form, it generates a Lead in the form of an emailed opportunity to one of your locations, typically a dealer, servicer, installer or some other entity responsible for the fulfillment of that customer's request, typically leveraging your brand, products or services.

This feature is available to Lead Optimization subscribers.

Lead Status Reporting tracks the status changes of that opportunity throughout the customer journey so you can better understand the revenue outcome of the lead, the performance of your partner and the customer's satisfaction.

This enables lead reporting to understand where customers are in the fulfillment pipeline at any time:

It also enables performance reporting to determine the rate at which leads are won and lost and timing of the various stages from first contact to fulfillment.

Lead Stages

Lead Status Reporting sends automated requests to your location contacts for status updates based on their preferences regarding how long it takes to move leads through the various stages.

Leads move through the following stages:

  • Unacknowledged - The lead's contact information has not been received by the location contact.

  • Acknowledged - The location contact clicked the Lead Notification and the lead's contact information was disclosed.

  • Accepted -The location contact clicked a button indicating that they will follow-up with this opportunity.

  • Rejected - The location contact clicked a button indicating that they will not follow-up with this opportunity.

  • Won - The location contact clicked a button indicating that they have obtained a completed purchase or signed contract.

  • Lost - The location contact clicked a button indicating that they will not obtain a completed purchase or signed contract.

  • Complete - The engagement is complete and the customer order is fulfilled.

When a lead is Accepted, the system schedules a follow-up email to determine Won or Lost based on the location contact's answer to a prompt like the below:

When a lead is Won, the system schedules another follow-up email to determine when the lead is Complete.

Lead Status Update Requests

When a lead status update is needed, MetaLocator generates an email to the location contact, with a request to update the lead status.

Lead Status Update Requests are generated when a lead that has been marked as Accepted or Won and it has not advanced to the next status. For example

  1. Marked as Accepted, but not yet Won or Lost

  2. Marked as Won, but not yet Completed.

The delay between these status update requests is determined when the user answers the "When should we follow-up" question shown above.

An example Lead Status Update Requests for Won/Lost is shown below.

Location Follow-up

When a lead is marked as Complete, an optional survey can be delivered to the location contact.

The survey's recommended objective is to determine the total amount of revenue from the brand's products that are attributable to this lead. The form can be configured under Leads > Location Follow-up Form.

The revenue values and other question responses collected in this form are stored with the lead record. This allows for aggregate reporting on confirmed revenue.

Lead Follow-up

When a lead is marked as Complete, an optional survey can be delivered to the lead contact. This survey requests a Review which becomes attached to the Location to which the lead was directed.

When a review is received, it can optionally trigger a notification to the location contact to allow them to control the published status of the review.
